Care Instructions
This contemporary ethnic overlay is a masterclass in mixed-print aesthetics, featuring the distinct, earthy allure of traditional Ajrakh hand-block printing.
The body displays a rich, Turkey Red canvas adorned with intricate floral butas (motifs), utilizing natural alizarin dyes that are hallmark to the craft. In a striking visual contrast, the sleeves and back yoke are paneled in a geometric print, creating a sophisticated "patchwork" effect that feels both bohemian and structured. The cuffs are elasticated to provide ease in movement. Designed for the modern muse, the silhouette broadcasts a mandarin collar and a functional
drawstring waist that allows you to cinch the fit for a feminine shape or wear it loose for a relaxed, anti-fit vibe. The jacket is finished with thoughtful artisanal details: wooden button closures, pintuck-detailed patch pockets with flap accents, and chevron borders lining the placket and cuffs.

To care for Ajrakh prints, hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Avoid scrubbing, wringing, or machine washing, and instead gently press out excess water. Air-dry the item flat in the shade, as direct sunlight can cause fading and shrinkage, and iron it inside-out on a low setting if needed.
Washing
- Hand wash only: Avoid machine washing, as the agitation can damage the fabric and cause colors to bleed.
- Use cold water: Always wash in cold water to prevent shrinking and fading of natural dyes.
- Use mild detergent: Opt for a mild or plant-based cleanser and avoid harsh chemicals and bleach.
- Soak briefly: Let the item soak for about 5-10 minutes, then gently swish it in the water or rub soiled areas with your fingers.
- Avoid rubbing: Do not scrub, wring, or twist the fabric. Gently press to remove excess water.
- Wash separately: Wash Ajrakh prints separately or with similar colors, especially for the first few washes, as some color bleeding is normal.
Drying
- Air-dry in the shade: Lay the garment flat in a shaded area to dry.
- Avoid direct sunlight: Direct sun can cause colors to fade and the fabric to shrink.
- Remove excess water: Gently press out water instead of wringing.
Ironing and storage
- Iron inside-out: To protect the print, iron the fabric from the reverse side on a low heat setting.
- Store properly: Ensure the fabric is clean and completely dry before folding and storing it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
